Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)

Our service is FREE for children eligible for the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS).

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule is a dental benefits program for eligible children aged 0-17 years that provides up to $1,026 in benefits to the child for basic dental services every two years.

The Department of Human Services assesses a child’s eligibility from the start of each calendar year.  Children are eligible if they or their parent or guardian receives certain Centrelink payments. To check if your child is eligible, visit your Medicare online account or call the Medicare program.

Once we receive the children’s medical forms, we check on behalf of the child and inform parents if their child is eligible to be bulk billed under the scheme.

Delivering Dental is able to bulk bill Medicare directly for eligible children, so there is no out of pocket cost to parents. If your child is not eligible, there is a blanket fee of $75 which needs to be received before treatment will be done.  An invoice will be issued to you after treatment. If you have private health insurance you are able to claim it back from your healthcare provider (rebate levels will differ - if unsure please contact your private health care provider).
